Patriots Heading Into The Playoffs

Yesterdays game against the Houston Texans turned out to be more valuable than many people would think. Yesterdays game meant nothing to the Patriots to begin with. Going into the game the Patriots knew that they would make the playoffs. On the other hand, the Texans needed to win to get into the playoffs. Many fans were wondering if the Patriots would play their star players because the game did not mean anything. In the first drive of the game Wes Welker caught a pass and continued running but in the process tore his ACL and MCL. Wes Welker is now out of the playoffs and ended his season in a game that did not mean anything. Many people are now in an uproar about the situation but my response would be, " Who knew that this would happen in this game?". The Texans went on to win the game 34 to 27 on a game winning drive lead by Matt Schaub, the Texans star quarterback. The banged up Patriots are now going into the playoffs without an injured star receiver and a tough loss. If the Patriots loss next weeks playoff opener at home against the Baltimore Ravens many people will blame the loss against the Texans.
