This is a game that Boston College needs badly if they want any chance of making it to the March Madness tournament. For the past couple of years Boston College has had their struggles with mediocre teams. BC also tends to play tougher teams with more of a fight than they do against mediocre teams. The example that I use frequently to people that are wondering what this means is , BC faced off against #1 North Carolina on Jan. 4, 2009 and shocked the sports world with a 85-78 victory in Chapel Hill. This early year ACC upset win shifted momentum to BC's side for the time being. Next game BC faced off against a below average team in Harvard.After a shocking upset against North Carolina, BC lost their next contest against Harvard. This example is perfect when it comes to showing how inconsistent BC has been over the last few years. Tonight BC will try to improve their ACC record to 2-1 after losing big to #21 Clemson. Tonight will be a game that will be either very helpful or hurtful to BC's tournament resume when March rolls around.
